Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition launches in India
Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition is a tribute to five decades of innovation and excellence achieved by Porsche and its team. It is more than a high-performance sports car. The car carries significant value.
Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition is at least 70 lakh more expensive than the regular 911 Turbo S, and 1.26 crore more expensive than the Carrera 4 GTS.
The 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition gets vinyl graphics on the side that are a nod to the Porsche 911 RSR Turbo concept’s livery, along with unique turbo badging and logos, with the rear engine cover grille and puddle lights. It also offers a Turbonite rotor and leather straps crafted from the same material as the car’s interior.
The 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition comes in a retro-themed Heritage Design Package that offers a new Aventurine Green Metallic exterior paint finish and satin white graphics. It also gets classic wheels and the Porsche brand’s logos on the rear side come in gold finishing.
On the interior front, it gets tartan-patterned upholstery on the seats and doors. The 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition celebrates the Heritage Design Package in the interior by offering a retro aesthetic with green-accented instrument dials and a matching Sport Chrono clock, blending classic charm with modern tech. The Heritage Design Package also enhances instrument cluster dials and the Sport Chrono clock, with a green finish on both.
Similar to the regular 911 Turbo S, the 50 Years Edition too is powered by a 650hp, 800Nm 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six petrol engine. Porsche claims that the car can sprint from 0 to 100kph time in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 330kph. That’s more than twice the power output of the original 930 Turbo, making this anniversary model a true performance machine. The original 930 Turbo was launched in 1974.
