Toyota has finally launched the new Vellfire MPV in India. The super luxurious and spacious MPV is launched at Rs 1.20 crore, ex-showroom price in Mumbai. The new Toyota Vellfire gets two variants in India, VIP: Executive Lounge and Hi variant. The new Vellfire was scheduled to launch next year but Toyota India has launched it now in India.
New Toyota Vellfire Powertrain
The Vellfire retains Toyota’s landmark TNGA-K platform and weighs less than the outgoing model. It gets a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol-hybrid powertrain mated to an e-CVT. It produces 250PS and 240 Nm of torque. The new Vellfire gets a healthy mileage of 19.28kmpl.
The new Vellfire measures 4,995mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,950mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,000mm. In a 2+2+2 configuration with second-row captain’s seats, the Vellfire can accommodate up to six passengers.
New Toyota Vellfire Exterior
The new Vellfire retains the same as the outgoing model and is quite boxy. But it is sportier than ever before. The front looks luxurious with a large six-slate grille, better integrated by split headlamps on the bonnet and DRLS placed below. It also gets LED daytime running lamps, while a U-shaped chrome strip runs across the bumper.
New Toyota Vellfire Interior
The new Toyota Vellfire gets a simple dashboard but with a lot of new features. It gets a new 14-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, ambient LED lighting on the ceiling, Toyota telematics system, full leather seats, Captain seats with Ottoman function, tri-zone air conditioning, multiple AC vents, premium sound system, new designed pull-down sun shades and full digital rearview mirror.
New Toyota Vellfire Features
The new Toyota Vellfire gets the ADAS Suite. It has safety features such as a blind spot monitor, 7 SRS airbags, an automated parking brake, cruise control, moonroof, vehicle stability control, traction control, ABS, braking assist, EBD, hill start assist control.
The higher variant: VIP trim comes with the Executive Lounge package that gets two captain’s chair reclining seats for the second row with heating, ventilation, and several other features.
New Toyota Vellfire Price
The new Toyota Vellfire Hi variant is priced at Rs 1.54 crore, on-road price in Mumbai.
The new Toyota Vellfire VIP (Executive Lounge) variant is priced at Rs 1.65 crore, on-road price in Mumbai.
The Vellfire VIP (Executive Lounge) variant is just 11 lakh more expensive than the Vellfire Hi variant. The VIP variant offers more features compared to the Hi variant.
New Toyota Vellfire Rivals
The new Toyota Vellfire has no direct rivals in India unless Lexus launches their new MPV LM in India.
Kia has launched the new Carnival MPV in India which is quite cheaper than the Vellfire. It is priced at 75 lakh, on-road price in Mumbai.
