BMW India has launched a new trim of their flagship luxury SUV the BMW X7. A new BMW X7 Signature Edition has been launched at a price of Rs 1.33 crore, ex-showroom. The new BMW X7 Signature Edition comes only in the petrol xDrive40i variant. BMW India will be assembling the Signature Edition variant in limited numbers at their Chennai plant.

BMW X7 Signature Edition exterior
The new BMW X7 Signature Edition gets Crystal Headlamps with Swarovski glass cut crystals in the front to create a unique light effect. The large kidney grille gets a newly designed intricate double bar with chrome highlights. The Aluminium Satinated Roof Rails and Aluminium Satinated Exterior elements enhance the luxury appeal of this Sports Activity Vehicle. The central air intake is bordered by two eye-catching chrome air vents. For the new X7 Signature Edition, BMW is offering an ambient air package, which consists of over 15,000 individual light points. LED tail lamps have a new inner graphic, and the chrome bar connecting them is covered by smoked glass.
BMW X7 Signature Edition borrows the same engine as the standard BMW X7. It gets a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder, in-line petrol engine that produces 381bhp and 520Nm of torque between 1,800rpm and 5,000rpm. The Signature Edition X7 accelerates from 0-100kmph in 5.8 seconds. The engine gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox with the xDrive all-wheel drive setup.

The interior of the BMW X7 Signature Edition remains unchanged. It gets the same treatment as the regular BMW X7. But the upholstery gets Individual leather for the instrument panel, unique crystal door pins, and Alcantara cushions. The features include the BMW signature Curved Display consisting of a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a head-up display, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, a panoramic sunroof, and much more.

The BMW X7 is a three-row super luxury SUV. It rivals other three-row super luxury SUV’s such as the Volvo XC 90 (1.20 crore, on-road), Audi Q7 (1.16 crore, on-road), and the very popular Mercedes Benz GLS (1.66 crore, on-road).
Verdict
The new BMW X7 Signature Edition is an excellent SUV with endless features and brilliant comfort. If one has to compare, the Mercedes Benz GLS 450 4Matic could be a great option.
