New BMW X1 Launched In India

The X1 SUV is BMW’s most affordable car in India. The X1 enjoys a huge fan following in India due to its low pricing and BMW badge. Now, BMW India has launched the new and third generation BMW X1 in India. The new X1 comes in petrol and diesel variants. It gets a new design, new interior, new features, and looks larger than the outgoing model.

BMW India has introduced the all-new BMW with an introductory price of Rs 45.90 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 47.90 lakh for the diesel variant, both prices ex-showroom. BMW India has started the booking for the new X1 with a booking amount of Rs 50,000. Deliveries are expected to begin from next week.

New BMW X1 Powertrain

The new BMW X1 comes in petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine is powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder unit that produces 136hp and 230Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel engine is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder unit producing 150hp and 360Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

New BMW X1 Exterior

As mentioned before, the new BMW X1 is bigger than the previous BMW X1. It is 53mm longer, 24mm wider, and 44mm taller than the previous model. The wheelbase has been increased by 22mm. The new BMW X1 comes with a bigger BMW signature grille. It gets new L-shaped Daytime Running Lamps, flush door handles, and new shinier headlamps. The new X1 has 18-inch alloy wheels. Both variants of the BMW X1 get the BMW M Sport design.

New BMW X1 Interior

The new BMW X1 retains BMW’s signature curved display that is available in every BMW car. The new X1 gets features like a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.70-inch infotainment screen, a wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive LED headlights, 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a connected car tech, dual-zone AC, 360-degree Camera, ambient lighting, automatic tailgate operation and parking assist feature.

The new BMW X1 gets M Sport customized front seats. However, it misses out on the ADAS Suite.

In India, the new BMW X1 continues to rival the likes of Mercedes Benz GLA and Audi Q3.
