In a surprising occurrence, German car manufacturer Mercedes Benz has confirmed that they are launching a CLE variant in India. Remember, Mercedes Benz India had discontinued CLE variant cars from the country. Now, the luxury car manufacturer has confirmed that a new CLE is coming to India. But it won’t be the standard CLE coupe sedan. Mercedes Benz is launching the CLE AMG variant in India.
Mercedes Benz AMG CLE 53
Mercedes Benz AMG CLE 53 is an AMG Mercedes Performance car. The AMG CLE 53 comes in coupe and convertible variants. India will be getting the two-door coupe variant of the car. The AMG CLE 53 is Mercedes’s one of best-looking Performance cars.
The Mercedes Benz AMG CLE 53 comes with a stylish exterior design. It gets LED headlights and headlamps in front and rear.
In the inner, it gets an AMG Performance flat-bottom steering wheel with touch control buttons. It also has a 12.3-inch driver’s display. The new CLE 53 comes with Mercedes Benz’s latest MBUX-powered 11.9-inch touchscreen display. It also has a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 64-colour Ambient lighting, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, a Burmester sound system, and wireless charging among others.
The Mercedes Benz AMG CLE 53 is powered by a similar engine used in the Mercedes E 53 Performance sedan. It comes with a ‘M256’ 3-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six mill engine with an additional 48V mild-hybrid starter-generator (ISG) motor. The engine produces 449hp and 560Nm of torque. The torque can be increased to 600Nm (at least 7 percent) for 12 seconds with Over boost mode available in the car. The new CLE 53 AMG can sprint from 0 to 100kph in a claimed 4.2 seconds.
Mercedes AMG CLE 53 India Launch
The Mercedes Benz AMG CLE 53 is set to launch in India in 2025. Mercedes Benz India has several cars in the pipeline for launch in early and mid-2025, whereas the AMG CLE 53 will launch by the end of 2025.
Mercedes Benz India will likely price the AMG CLE 53 near Rs 2 crore, ex-showroom. Upon its launch in India, the AMG CLE 53 will rival the likes of BMW M5, Porsche 911, and Audi S5.
