Hyundai Launches New Alcazar SUV In India

Hyundai India has launched the new Alcazar SUV in the country. Hyundai has redesigned one of its highest selling cars in India. The new Alcazar SUV gets major changes inside and out. But it remains unchanged mechanically. The introductory prices start from 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol seven seat variant. The Alcazar SUV seats above the Creta SUV. Buyers can book the Alcazar SUV for a booking amount of Rs 25,000. The new Alcazar is available in the six and seven seater configurator. It comes in four variants: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature.

The base variant of the new Hyundai Alcazar SUV is priced at 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a manual 7 seater base variant which comes at an on-road price in Mumbai for 17.68 lakh.

The higher petrol trim which is the Alcazar Signature 1.5 Petrol DCT 6 seater is priced at 25.39 lakh.

The higher diesel variant which is the Alcazar Signature 1.5 Diesel DCT 6 seater is priced at 25.84 lakh.

Buyers have to pay a few thousand more for the dual-tone exterior paint.

The new Alcazar gets two engine options, a 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol, reproduced to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The turbo-petrol churns out 160hp and 253Nm. Both petrol and diesel get a front-wheel drive configuration with several drive and traction control modes such as snow, sand, and mud. The automatic variants now get paddle shifters.

The new Hyundai Alcazar SUV comes in nine exterior paints: Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Robust Emerald Pearl, Robust Emerald Matte, Fiery Red, Titan Grey Matte, and Starry Night. New Alcazar receives H-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps that are connected to a light bar and a larger grille with horizontal slats. It also gets new 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and dark chrome grille flanked by quad-beam LED headlamps. The rear gets new connected taillights, a spoiler, and a newly designed bumper and tailgate.

The new Hyundai Alcazar borrows the same dashboard layout used in the facelifted Creta SUV. It has the same dual 10.25-inch infotainment screens and digital instrument cluster with a new dual-tone tan and dark blue color pick. Hyundai has removed the fixed center console that stood between the captain seats of the previous generation model. Passengers seated on the second row will now get extendable thigh support, ventilation, rear sunshades, and fold-out tray tables.

The new Alcazar now gets ADAS safety features with 19 ADAS level 2 features including hill start assist, vehicle stability management, disc brakes on all corners, driver attention warning, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and lane following assist.

It also gets powered front seats, wireless charging pads for the front and middle rows, a panoramic sunroof with voice automation, leatherette upholstery, ESC, six airbags, 360-degree camera, Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, sequential turn indicators, on-board navigation, connected features.
