The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is BMW’s cheapest car and the most affordable car in India. Now, BMW India has launched a new special variant of the car. BMW India has introduced the new Black Shadow Edition of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe – Black Shadow Edition
The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe – Black Shadow Edition has been launched in India at Rs 46.90 lakh, ex-showroom. It comes in a single variant of 220i M Sport trim and gets blacked-out exterior elements as well as subtle updates to the upholstery. It gets a similar powertrain as the standard BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.
The 2 Series Black Shadow Edition is Rs 4 lakh more expensive than the standard BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. It gets two exterior paint options: Alpine White and Skyscraper Grey.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe – Black Shadow Edition is limited to 24 units. That means only 24 lucky people will get a chance to own the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe – Black Shadow Edition.
BMW 2 Series Black Shadow Edition exterior, interior, and features
The BMW 2 Series Black Shadow Edition gets BMW M Performance darker elements in the exterior. It comes with a blacked-out kidney grille, adaptive LED headlamps with darkened inlays and M Lights Shadow Line specification, black ORVM caps, a black chrome finished tailpipe, an all-black rear spoiler, and floating hub-caps with leveling function. It gets 18-inch M Performance Y-Spoke 554 M forged alloy wheels finished in Jet Black Matt.
In the inner, it gets two 10.25-inch touchscreens for the instrument cluster and the infotainment system. Most of the interior is the same as the standard 2 Series car. It has features such as BMW Live Cockpit Plus, BMW Operating System 7.0, M Sport steering wheel, sports seats for passenger and driver, virtual assistant, head-up display, gesture controls, parking assist, reverse assist, launch control, driver stability control, atmospheric Lights package, and the Illuminated Brooklyn interior trim.
BMW 2 Series Black Shadow Edition powertrain
The BMW 2 Series Black Shadow Edition gets the 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine which produces nearly 189bhp at 4000rpm, and 280Nm of torque at 1350 to 4600rpm. It sends power to the front wheels via a speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It can sprint from 0 to 100 in a claimed 7.1 seconds.
BMW 2 Series Black Shadow Edition price and rivals
The BMW 2 Series Black Shadow Edition rivals the likes of the new Mercedes Benz A Class Limousine and the Audi A4.
