New Maruti Suzuki Baleno Launched In India

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Baleno in India. Maruti’s Baleno is India’s most-selling premium hatchback. The new facelifted Baleno has been launched with an introductory price of Rs 6.35 lakh and goes all up to Rs 9.49 lakh, ex-showroom, India. Bookings for the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno have opened and deliveries are set to begin from today itself.

New Maruti Suzuki Baleno Engine

The new Baleno is powered by a 90hp, 1.2-litre, four-cylinder DualJet K12N petrol engine. It comes with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox. The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno gets a mileage of 22.35kpl with manual transmission and a mileage of 22.94kpl with automatic transmission.

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno gets a large 14-inch disc brakes for the front wheels.

It also gets a wider front with a redesigned front bumper, new fog lights, and a silver accent at its base that goes all the way to the headlights, LED Daytime Running Lamp, and is attended by a flatter clamshell bonnet.

The new Baleno also gets C-shaped LED tail lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The new Baleno gets six paint schemes: Luxe Beige, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Nexa Blue, Opulent Red, and Grandeur Grey.

The new Baleno gets massive changes in the inner. It now gets a new dashboard with a black top, a full-width silver accent in the middle, and a dark blue finish at the bottom. It also gets a new steering wheel, new front seats, new buttons for climate control, and a new redesigned instrument cluster.

The new Baleno comes with a 9.0-inch Smartplay Pro+ free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa support, voice command support, ‘Suzuki Connect’ connected car tech, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, auto-dimming IRVM keyless entry and go, automatic climate control, a heads-up display (HUD), 360-degree cameras, and an Arkamys surround sound system. However, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno does not come with a sunroof like its direct rival the Hyundai i20.

New Maruti Suzuki Baleno Price and Rival

The top variant of the Baleno, the Alpha manual variant is priced at Rs 11.00 lakh, on-road price in Mumbai, and the Alpha automatic variant is priced at Rs 11.50 lakh, on-road price in Mumbai.

The new Baleno directly rivals the likes of Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz, the other two premium hatchbacks.
