Jeep India has finally launched the new Jeep Merdian SUV. The luxury and spacious SUV has been launched with an introductory price of 24.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It is not a facelifted Jeep Meridian as it has just received a few upgrades and a mid-life update. The new Jeep Meridian is offered with five and seven seat configurators. The new Jeep Meridian comes with four variants Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O), and Overland.

Jeep Meridian exterior
There are no major visible changes in the new Jeep Meridian. It remains the same by continuing the sleek headlamps with DRLs, sleek LED taillamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, and fascia with a slat grille. The bumpers have been reshaped to some extent and the new Jeep Meridian continues to get a seven-slot Jeep grille with full LED headlamps. The new Meridian continues to be powered by the same 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 168bhp of power and 350Nm of peak torque. The SUV comes with 4×2 and 4×4 versions on offer as before. It does get ADAS safety features with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-speed automatic.
Jeep Meridian interior
Once again, the interior of the new Jeep Meridian remains unchanged. But there are plenty of new features and upgrades. The new Jeep Meridian gets a handful of new upgrades including a Level 2 ADAS suite, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats and new upholstery with copper stitching.

The higher trim of the new Jeep Meridian is the Jeep Meridian Overland 4×4 AT which is priced at 46.80 lakh, on-road price in Mumbai.
Jeep Meridian rivals
The new Jeep Meridian rivals SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner. Jeep Meridian will have a tough time as over three major Meridian’s rival SUVs are coming in 2025 with major upgrades and facelifted variants.
The Jeep Meridian will now rival the upcoming MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and the Volkswagen Tayron. New updated and facelifted Skoda Kodiaq and MG Gloster will be launched soon in 2025. Whereas Volkswagen has confirmed that their recently unveiled SUV the Tayron will make its debut in India in 2025.
Jeep India recently launched the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV in India.
The higher trim Jeep Wrangler Rubicon AT is priced at 86.82 lakh (on-road price in Mumbai) whereas the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (O) 4×4 AT is priced at 80.24 lakh (on-road price in Mumbai).
Besides the new Jeep Meridian, Jeep India is aiming to launch the new Jeep Compass SUV in India. the current and previous generation Jeep Compass is finding it hard to attract buyers due to its over expensive price tag and old features. The new Jeep Compass will be unveiled globally in 2025.
