New Skoda Kodiaq And Skoda Superb Confirmed

Skoda India has confirmed the launch of two new cars in 2025 in India, the Kodiaq and the Superb. The new generation and facelifted Skoda Kodiaq and Superb were revealed in 2023.

The new Kodiaq and Superb were launched in Europe in 2024 and are already on sale. Both the cars have received positive responses. Skoda India’s head has confirmed that they are launching the Kodiaq SUV and the Superb sedan in 2025 in India.

During the launch of the compact SUV Skoda Kylaq, Skoda India, brand director, Petr Janeba confirmed the launch of Kodiaq and Superb in 2025. He revealed that both the cars are currently under testing period in the Aurangabad city of Maharashtra, India. Both the cars will be locally assembled in India. Skoda India is planning to launch the Kodiaq in May 2025 and the Superb sometime later in 2025.

Skoda Kodiaq exterior

The new Skoda Kodiaq will come with a new fresh exterior design and a more luxurious interior. It gets fresh split LED headlamps, new front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels and grille, a roof-mounted spoiler, optional D-pillar trim, C-shaped LED taillights, and the signature ‘Skoda’ logo print on the tailgate. All the Skoda cars, including the currently selling cars, have scored a five-star rating during the testing.

The new Skoda Kodiaq will offer the ADAS safety suite. Skoda Kodiaq will continue with a similar powertrain as the outgoing current generation model. It will have a 190hp, 320Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch auto nourishing power to all four wheels. With a length of 4,758mm, the new Skoda Kodiaq is longer than the outgoing current model.

In India, the new Skoda Kodiaq will be offered with a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that produces 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque.

The new Skoda Kodiaq will come with a completely new dashboard, interior, and upholstery. It gets a 13-inch freestanding touchscreen, three physical rotary dials with an in-built display for HVAC and media controls, a fully digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof.

Upon its launch in May 2025, the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq could be offered in three trims: Style, Sportline, and L&K, the higher trim is L&K. The facelifted and new Skoda Kodiaq L&K could come with an on-road price of over 55 lakh in Mumbai.

Skoda Kodiaq rivals

Upon its launch, Skoda Kodiaq will rival SUV cars such as the MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron. However, MG Gloster is going to be the biggest competitor for Skoda Kodiaq in India.

The upcoming and facelifted new MG Gloster is quite a desired car. It offers plenty of features like the Skoda Kodiaq. In fact, the MG Gloster is bigger, longer, and spacious than the Skoda Kodiaq. The MG Gloster is quite a humongous car.

Also, the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron is going to be a great competitor against the Skoda Kodiaq.

Besides the Skoda Kodiaq and the Skoda Superb, Skoda India will launch the facelifted variant of the Kushaq SUV and the sedan Slavia.
