The new BMW X5 comes in petrol and diesel options. Both options get a mild-hybrid 48V electric motor that produces 11bhp and 200Nm of torque with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. BMW India claims that the petrol version can sprint from 0 to 100kph in 5.4 seconds while the diesel version can sprint from 0 to 100kph in 6.1 seconds.
The xDrive 40i version receives a 3.0-liter, straight-six petrol engine that makes 381hp and 520Nm of torque, while the xDrive 30d version receives a 3.0-liter, straight-six diesel engine, making 286hp and 650Nm of torque. The XDrive version gets xDrive all-wheel drive technology, ensuring optimal traction on various surfaces with automatic brake differentials and locks, dynamic traction control, and adaptive air suspension.

The new BMW X5 gets new slimmer headlamps with matrix LED adaptive technology with 21-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels available across all variants. It now comes with a reprofiled front bumper with an illuminated grille available only on the X5 40i petrol variant and X5 40d diesel variant. It also has BMW’s new signature for the LED daytime running lamps.

The new X5 gets BMW’s new signature 12.3-inch digital instrument display with a 14.9-inch infotainment display, running BMW’s iDrive 8 operating system. The new X5 now gets a Harmon Kardon music system, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, reverse assist, six airbags, a panoramic sunroof, dynamic stability control, and remote parking. With the higher trim, the M Sports gets a heads-up display, cruise control, heating function, and seat ventilation.
